About Me

I am the owner and travel consultant of Discover Wanderlust Travel. Considered a rare Florida native, I was born and raised in the Tampa Bay area and graduted from The Florida State University (Go Noles!) with a degree in Information Studies and a minor in Math. My career has had interesting turns along the way from my start as a background investigator to the banking and mortgage industry (I survived that crisis!). Next, I transitioned to the investment securities industry holding my Series 7 and 63 for a short time before deciding that advising clients how to invest their money in the market was not my chosen path. Since 2012, I’ve worked in the insurance industry and have been an employee benefits consultant since 2016.

During my first trip to Italy decades ago, I caught THE travel bug. It still feels like yesterday since I can remember nearly every moment of that 14-day trip throughout Il Bel Paese, even though I struggle to remember what I ate for breakfast! My view of the world changed after that trip and the desire to travel and see more has only intensified.

What started as a thought and a dream years ago, finally became reality in 2022 when I decided to start my own travel agency. I wanted others to have that same transformational experience I felt after my trip to Italy. After immense research, planning, and training, I took the jump and decided it was time to pursue my passion. Starting this business has only fed my soul as I continue to plan unique trips for some of the most incredible clients.

I have been married for 20 years and have two teenage daughters that keep us as busy as ever! My hobbies include salsa dancing, reading, wine tastings, genealogy research, learning Italian, cool weather runs and bike rides, spinning, hiking, true crime podcasts, movies at home, and of course travel!
